Though the library has an abundance of resources, there may be times when the thing you’re looking for is not available in our bookshelves.  But there is actually still a way we can get you what you need!  We can borrow from other libraries in order to provide a wider range of resources to you through Interlibrary Loans.

Through Interlibrary Loans (ILL), you can check out articles, books, and other resources from libraries all throughout the country!  The purpose of ILL is to support your research by providing whatever materials we do not own to you with no cost.

This is a very valuable service you should take advantage of.  Interlibrary cooperation is growing important; books and articles are growing more expensive, and we are committed to offering you the least expensive services possible.

The process to checking out an interlibrary loan is fairly easy.  Request Type on Form

  1. Go to your ILL account page and sign in using your Loras ID and password.
  2. Click on Create Request.
  3. Click on the button that corresponds to the type of material you are requesting.
  4. Fill out the form and click submit!  Lisa Finnegan, ILL Expert

Be sure to check the Library Catalogue and Journal Finder to make sure the Library doesn’t already have the material you’re looking for.
