Faculty, help your students access the Library resources they need by embedding a library research guide in your eLearn course! All eLearn courses have been matched (behind the scenes) with one of the Library's research guides-- it could be a course guide designed especially for your course, or it could be one of the library's subject guides. (If we couldn't find an ideal match between our guides and your course, we created a guide that provides generic help for starting research and contacting a librarian).

Follow these instructions to add the library research guide to your eLearn course:

  1. Turn editing on.
  2. Choose "Add an activity or resource" in the topic section where you want the resource to appear.
  3. Choose "External tool".
  4. Provide a name for the tool in the "Activity name" area. We recommend "Library Resources" or something similar.
  5. From the "Preconfigured tool" drop-down menu, choose Library Resources (Auto).
  6. Save and return to course.

Please contact Kristen Smith with questions or comments.
