They will share why they decided to run for public office, their experiences campaigning, and the rewards and challenges of the job so far.

federal government mobile apps directory on usa.gov

You might already know about the benefits of information that comes from government websites and publications. In fact, here’s a guide that breaks that all down.

Did you know that there is a growing number of government mobile apps?
•    They are available on a wide variety of topics.
•    They are reliable and useful.
•    They promote the use of government information.
•    They are available for nearly every mobile platform, although not all apps are available on all platforms.

The best place to look for government mobile apps, is the directory on USA.gov, but just about every government agency website will list available apps, such as:
•    Disaster Info https://disasterinfo.nlm.nih.gov/apps
•    FEMA https://www.fema.gov/about/news-multimedia/app
•    Centers for Disease Control and Prevention https://www.cdc.gov/mobile/index.html,
•    National Library of Medicine https://www.nlm.nih.gov/mobile
•    Internal Revenue Service https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/ris2goapp
•    Veterans Affairs https://www.va.gov/patientcenteredcare/resources/mobile_apps_and_online_tools.asp
•    The Library of Congress https://loc.gov/apps/
•    The Congressional Record https://loc.gov/apps/

Topics include: children, bullying, bioengineering, disabilities, disasters, congress, healthy living, education, and epidemiology.

Happy downloading!

picture of error messageLibrary account and interlibrary loan system login functionality has been restored as of late Tuesday 9/8/20. If you continue to have a problem with any Library system, please let us know at library@loras.edu. Thanks for your patience!

Having trouble placing ILL requests or checking on your Library account? You’re not the only one. We are working closely with our software vendor and Loras’s amazing IT team to figure out why our systems aren’t talking to each other right now. Unfortunately, it looks like the system will be down through the weekend. We’ll post an update as soon as a solution is found. In the meantime, you can still access all of our databases, just be sure to check the full text option to make sure you have access to all the articles you find.

Thank you for your patience as we deal with this hiccup.
