Reconsideration of Materials

The librarians at Loras College Library have established a collection development and materials selection policy and procedures for gathering input about particular items in our collection. We will respond only to concerns that are raised by a member of the Loras community. Note that each item will only be reconsidered once every three years,  Completion of this form is the first step in that formal procedure. If you wish to request reconsideration of a resource, please print out and complete this form, and mail it to:

Upon receipt, this form will be reviewed by the Library Director and the Academic Dean of the college, and a determination will be made in accordance with the library and college's policies and procedures. The patron will receive a final written response to the submitted request for reconsideration within 90 days of the library receiving the request. While under review, the material will remain on the shelf.
