This research guide provides access to a selection of resources for current and historical information issued by U.S. government agencies and related private publishers. The Loras College Library is a Federal Depository Library.

GOVERNMENT INFORMATION 

Loras and Government Publications

FDLP logoThe Loras College Library is a congressionally-designated depository for U.S. Government information.  Public access to the government information collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44 United States Code).  The Library also provides expertise in government information sources, a selection of links to key government e-resources, and a circulating collection of government publications. These are listed in DuSearch (the Library catalog).


Locations

Government documents may be accessed electronically, or in tangible print or microfiche formats on the lowest level of the library.

  • Paper items are shelved by Superintendent of Documents call number on the collapsible shelving units.
  • Microfiche items are filed by SuDoc number in the microform cabinets.
