Classrooms

The library building contains two classrooms for faculty use and one classroom dedicated to library instruction. When not in use, students are encouraged to use the classrooms to practice presentations and to work on group projects. Some spaces may have restricted access when classes are in session. Requests for use must go through the Campus request system. classroom

All three classrooms are outfitted with:

  • seating for 30,
  • semi-modular furniture,
  • 3 large whiteboards,
  • an overhead projector,
  • a sound system,
  • a retractable projector screen,
  • and a podium with a USB-C connector. 

 

Event Spaces

The Library has four spaces that are suitable for medium to large events.

The Third Floor Commons offers excellent views of downtown Dubuque and the Mississippi River. It can be configured with:

  • seating up to 100,
  • a projector and screen, 
  • a microphone with speakers,
  • and a podium.

The Fourth Floor Balcony seats up to 50 but is also frequently used for meals and receptions associated with events held in the Third Floor Commons.
